From the Documentary

The trail map and this initiative grew out of the popular historical documentary The King's Highway, which brought the story of America's first highway to audiences everywhere.

The documentary traces the King's Highway from colonial times through the Revolutionary War and into the present, shining a light on the people, places, and events that shaped this corridor. Inspired by that story, the King's Highway Historical Trail and interactive map were created so you can walk the same road and discover these landmarks for yourself.
